I was born and raised in Canastota and have been married to my highschool sweetheart, Michael for 40 years. We have two grown children and four grandchildren. I started training and showing dogs as a teenager. My love of dogs and desire to know more brought me to study the Dog Obedience Trainer/Instructor program through the Penn Foster School. My training method, a "soft touch" Modified Traditional method includes operant conditioning, lots of praise and an occasional treat. Obedience training should be fun for both handlers and dog! Positive reinforcement is the best way to train and the benefits are great. I have recently applied for membership in the prestigious National Association of Dog Obedience Instructors and will continue learning, as always. I am pleased to be providing my services at Paws Claws Feathers and Fins.
