Dee Schaefer
Dee worked for almost 5 years at a local humane association which spurred her interest in animal rescue. This work has given Dee the ability to handle a large group of dogs, read pack behavior, and assess behavioral issues. All 4 of Dee's dogs are rescue dogs and have had behavior issues of their own. As a result of this on the job and personal experience, Dee has the patience to work with the dogs at daycare to make sure that their day at Stay and Play is the best possible experience for you and them!
Dee has an education in the Veterinary Assistant field and hopes to continue her education to become a licensed Veterinary Technician. Stay and Play gives Dee the opportunity to keep up with her training skills by working with YOUR dog! She has the patience to work with dogs that might have behavioral issues, the stamina to play with your dogs all day, and a true love of animals. She knows that dogs, just like children, need stimulation during to day to keep them from getting bored. She will also make sure that your dog behaves for us just as you expect them to behave at home.
Because of her shelter background, Dee knows how to keep a daycare facility clean and disinfected!
Dee will treat your dog with the love and respect she gives her own furbabies.
