• New pet food: Royal Canin - many of their foods are breed specific. Royal Canin is sold exclusively in Pet Speicalty Stores and Veterinary Hospitals. It was founded by a Veterinarian over 40 years ago and is sold in over 90 countries. One of the nice things about this food is that there is a food for every type of dog and cat. Many of their foods are breed specific. Each breed of dog for example has genetic and physiological factors that may predispose them to potential health issues. Their differences too may make even the simplest act of eating and digesting difficult. Watch for the date of a Pet Nutrition Seminar to be held in our Doggie Day Care Center sometime in February. It will be open to the public and will address why it is so important to feed healthy diets to our pets. We will also talk about what to look for on the bag and what to watch out for to keep our pets healthy and happy and have longer lives. Our speaker will be a DMV who speicalizes in pet nutrition.
